Hotel & Transportation
Coke Scholars are responsible for the cost of their flights, hotel rooms, parking, and any other expenses outside of those items covered in the registration fee. Look under the registration tab to see what the registration fee covers.
Flights
If you plan to join us, we encourage you to book your flights soon after you register. When selecting flights, please plan to arrive by 10 a.m. on Friday, August 25, and depart after 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 27. When you have made your arrangements, please send them to Justin Pearson (2013) so he can help us keep track of when everyone is coming and going.
Hotel Information
We have reserved a block of 25 rooms at The Magnolia Hotel, a boutique hotel, where Friday and some of Saturday's sessions will take place. It is conveniently located in downtown Denver.
After much research, this hotel was selected as this was the most affordable option that would also offer us the event space needed. The room block is limited, so we encourage you to take this into consideration when booking your room and read the instructions below carefully.
Room Rate: $169 + tax per night (for King bedrooms) and $179 + tax per night (for 2 queens) if booked before August 1. (After August 1, rates will increase at the hotel's discretion.)
Booking a Hotel Room
You may book your room under the "Coca-Cola Scholars Service Summit" room block online or by phone by following these directions:
1. Book your room online through this link.
2. Book your room by calling 866-912-1037 and asking to speak to a reservations agent to make a reservation. You must reference "Coca-Cola Scholars Service Summit" in order to get the group rate. Be sure they put you in the room block that we have reserved.
3. Specify the nights you will be staying at the hotel and your room request from the options below (available on a first come, first served basis):
- A room with 2 queens
- A Deluxe King room
They are limited on rollaway beds available upon request, but you can try.
Finding a Roommate
If you would like to find another Scholar to share a room with, check our new alumni portal Coke Scholars Connect. Under "Events" you will see "Coke Scholars Service Summit". You can post about roommates in the comments section at the bottom of that page.
Getting to the Hotel
Besides Lyft, Uber, and taxis, you can take light rail directly to/from the airport at a cost of only $9 each way.
The 23-mile ride takes approximately 37 minutes. The light rail will take you to Union Station, where you can hop on the 16th Street Mall tram for a free, 5-minute ride to the hotel.

Parking at the Hotel
The Magnolia Hotel only offers valet at the hotel. The cost is $16 per car for the day or $38 per car for overnight. There is a garage next door that guests can use to self-park, but the cost varies depending on what time you enter the garage and leave. For valet, guests will pull into the valet loop located on the right side of 17th Street, just before they reach Stout Street. They will see the bright blue awnings to pull under.
